Hallewes, Ironside and Alfred have arrived at a small beach on the southern side of Ynis Sci. Ahead of them lies emptiness. Dark clouds cover the sky, threatening rain. The landscape is desolate without even birds singing.

Hallewes directed her little company towards the center of the Island, figuring that what she seeked was bound to be there where the clouds looked the thickest.

After a while, Alfred said "This place makes my flesh crawl. I feel like there might be nothing here but us and this wicked sorceror. But there must be something. How much do you know about him, lady? Do you know where he lives?"

"He is the one that cannot die and he knows the secret that I need. He isdeep in old magic and said to be older then time itself." Hallewes answered after a few moments. "He will be where your feeling of evil is the greatest."

"But you don't know where exactly we'll find him? Except on the island. It doesn't look small."

"We will find him or he will find us." Hallewes answered. "Either way he is a being of evil and if you get the feeling of forbiding then that is the way we go."

"I have that feeling already," Alfred said with a nervous laugh. "So this must be right. I don't understand why you want to find him, lady. What good will it do you?"

"I want to learn the old secrets. Finding Meldryn Mwar will teach them to me." Hallewes replied. "There is no one else that remembers them."

"But what will you do with those secrets?"

Hallewes shrugged "Use them." she said simply. "Why all these questions?"

"Because I want to know if I will stay with you afterwards or go on my own way."

"If you leave you will not last long." Hallewes warned.

"Do you truly believe you have the option to go your own way?" Ironside asked with a sneer.
"The way I remember it your choices were to help or die. Walking away was never on the table. You gave up that right the second you entered our camp with intentions of rape and murder."

Alfred shrugged. "I'll stay then but I hope it's to my advantage to do so. I'm no man's lackey, and no woman's either. I was, once, and look where it got me. I'd die rather than face outlawry again. We are what our life makes us, Sir Ironside. The moment I became an outlaw, I had no choice but to do wicked things or die." OOC - who is Fenris?

"Then you are in the right fellowship." Hallewes told him highly amused. "Meldryn Mwar is said to have the power to control the dead. Something that is longforgotten in the world and something that I feel should be remembered."
